Scientifically approved plant-based treatment.
The therapeutic goods administration (TGA) legalised plant-based medicine derived from the Cannabis sativa plant in 2016.
Plant-based medicine is available via prescription only and can be prescribed by a general practitioner authorised by the TGA or by a registered medical practitioner under a case by case authority from the TGA.
Dr Mehdi is an authorised prescriber with authority from the TGA to prescribe plant-based medicine.
To be eligible for plant-based medicine, a patient must have a chronic medical condition – persisting for over three months – where conventional treatment options were determined to be unsuitable and/or produced unwanted side effects.
